We, Nathalie and
Arnold Gillespie, owners of Cowboy Up Kennel, are the proud
owners and breeders of beautiful CKC registered
Labrador Retrievers and
American Cocker Spaniels. We raise
both the English/show style and the American hunting style Labs
carrying champion pedigrees. We offer Labs in black, yellow and
chocolate specializing in fox red. Fox red is a rare and unique
shade of yellow that resembles pumpkin pie filling.
Currently our spaniels come in chocolate/tan as well as

We pride our program on breeding
with the "whole dog" in mind. Our dogs always make excellent
family companions and are also capable of making showing,
hunting, obedience or service dogs in many instances.
We are proud of all our dogs and hope that their offspring will
grow into beautiful dogs that their families can be proud of. We
stand behind our dogs and carry genetic health guarantees with
every puppy. Our guarantees are an indication of our confidence
in producing genetically sound dogs.
Socialization is a top priority for Cowboy Up Kennel. Hence our
objective to produce confident, friendly, intelligent and
relaxed puppies. Part of a pups social and
temperament outcome is inherited and part is from its
socialization as a puppy. Our pups are handled from birth and
are exposed to as much stimuli as possible before they leave our
kennel. The first 12 weeks of a puppy's life are extremely
important and determine to a great extent a puppy's personality
and sociability. A puppy acquires the personality traits in the
first 12 weeks that will make up his adult character. These
traits are established through positive interactions with
people, other dogs/animals and being introduced to a variety of
environments. Cowboy Up Kennel strives to introduce puppies to
positive interactions that will lead to a confident,
well-adjusted puppy that is both friendly and intelligent.
Proper feeding of adults and puppies is also very important to
Cowboy Up Kennel. High quality dog food is fed and contains
human-grade ingredients. The food does not contain wheat, corn,
or glutton that is responsible for most skin irritations and
allergies in dogs. A proper feeding handout is sent home with
every puppy to help get your puppies nutritional needs started
off right. We believe proper feeding is crucial for the health
and longevity of the adults and puppies. With proper feeding and
care as well as the aid of a local vet we are able to keep our
dogs and puppies healthy.
